Blast From the Past – November’s Reader Faves
It’s hard to believe that we’re already on the November’s reader faves edition of this series. Where has the time gone? November is always a weird month for me. The autumn holidays are over for us up here in Canada, with the exception of Remembrance Day, so we’re in a bit of a lull while our friends in US are in full holiday planning mode.
So, in light of that, the mix of reader faves this month isn’t really much of a surprise. Check them all below.
What is Blast From the Past?
I’m glad you asked!
The Blast From the Past series is that features a collection of posts and pages that have hit my monthly top 20-50 posts in previous years. I always find it interesting to see which content stands the test of time and which comes and goes. The five pieces of content I’m sharing each month will be a mix of both.
Now let’s hop on down to the good stuff!
November’s Reader Favourites
Planners and holidays seem to be the theme for November’s faves. It was surprising to see three series hit the top twenty so frequently, but I love that these post still get some attention even all these years later.
I hope you enjoy checking out this month collection of reader favourites from years gone by. More than that, I hope you find them helpful in some way.

Creating the Planner That Works for You
First up we have the first post of the Creating the Planner That Works for You series. This was a fun series to write and it’s so neat to see it popping up as a favourite ten years later.
This post kicked off the series on December 11, 2014. In it I shared my definition for what a planner is, as well as how I think about my planner as being a piece in my planning system. And a bunch of other good stuff you can check out.
If you’re looking for a good place to start figuring out how to create a planner that is customized to fit your planning needs, this post is it. It will get you thinking about not just what you need to plan for but how you like to plan. The rest of the series will help you put it all together.

A Variety of Weekly Planner Printables for You to Choose From
I love when posts from a series still resonate years later. This collection of weekly planners was shared as part of the Home and Life Organized series which began in October 2016. This post was shared November 1st of that same year.
The weekly printables in this post are all from Sunshine Skies Collection. They’re from before I started offering calendars and weekly planners in both Sunday and Monday starts, so these ones are all Monday starts.
I’d love to know – would you like to see the vertical week on a page in landscape be added to the planner page line up for all collections moving forward? If so, let me know in the comments below.
You can find the Weekly Planners here.
Simple Daily Planner Printables to Keep Your Days Running Smooth
It’s not secret around here, I adore being able to make printables that you want and need. Reader requests are my favourite printables to make and I love seeing them show up in my top posts.
This one was originally shared in July of 2019. These daily planners were created after I received a number of requests, all pretty much requesting the same kind of planner. I took those requests and put them all together and these daily planner pages came about.
The left column has room for your top three and planning your daily schedule. The right column is divided into four list sections. These can be used to create categorized to-do lists or just notes. The flexibility makes this planner page a great addition to any planner. The popularity of it means that it’s also now a staple in each new planner collection that comes out.

Don’t Miss These New Vertical Week on Two Pages Planners
Originally published on December 16, 2019, these vertical weekly planners were a hit right from the get go. And I’m thrilled that they were. These weekly planners have a little bit of everything.
The combination of checklists and flex space for each day offer a versatile planning space. The ample notes section can also be used to add trackers or custom lists that can change each week as needed. The habit tracker and daily planner at the bottom of the second page gives you space to track routines and plan meals, fitness, home cleaning, or any other thing you might want to plan/record.
With all the different ways this weekly planner can be used, it’s no wonder it’s a popular choice five years later.
The Scatter-Brain’s Guide to a Stress-Free Holiday Season
While this page was created in October 2020, the series was first published in 2018. The idea for the series began right after Christmas the year before. when I realized that what I anticipated being a stressful holiday was actually the opposite. I wanted to share what I did to plan and prepare so that others could maybe recreate that same feeling for themselves. And, of course, I had to turn my lists and notes into printables to make it even more fun!
I love that this series hits the top twenty each year. The holiday season can chaotic and crazy and stressful. I can’t promise that my steps will completely eliminate stress, but I hope they help take some of it off your shoulders.
All the info you need for a Stress-Free Holiday Season can be found here.
That is all for November’s favourites. Before we know it the new year is going to be here, time sure does fly at times doesn’t it? I hope you enjoyed taking a look at the post and printables. More so, I hope you found some that you want to use. And I would love to know – do you have a favourite post or printable?
As always drop a line in the comments below and let me know!
