Introducing The 2021 Dated Calendars!

I am beyond excited to be sharing the 2021 dated calendars with you today. Sharing the new calendars is always fun and a little nerve-wracking. Will you like the new design? Is the format going to work for you?

I hope you like the new calendars as much as I do.

The 2021 dated calendar feature a simple but bold design I hope will be versatile enough for all planning styles.

The dated calendar printables for 2021 are here. Choose from single or two pages per month, full or half-letter size, and a Sunday or Monday Start day.

I always sit on the edge of my seat and fight the urge to bite my nails after I hit publish on new calendars. Mostly because the new calendars aren’t just one set of printables. The design shapes all the printables I’ll make to go with them so that your planner can match.

My goal is always to deliver something that will be useful but will also look nice too. I take all the feedback I get each year and use it to give me a direction to start in. Some of the feedback I received from the 2020 Calendars that I used to help shape this year’s design were:

  • pastel colours don’t print well in grey scale
  • the numbers for the dates were too small
  • some people found the decorative strip to be a little too busy or not really their style
  • bold colours would be great
  • simple calendar would be awesome
  • move the notes column back to the right hand side

I listened to the feedback and used it to help shape my design ideas. This year I opted for a simpler, minimalist design. Bolder jewel-tone colours look great printed in both colour and greyscale.

The 2021 Dated Calendars

As I mentioned above, this year I opted to create a simpler design for the calendars this year. Each month features a grey date grid, dot grid notes sections and a monochrome colour scheme.

I chose a bold font with clean lines for the month and days of the week labels and I paired it with a more classic serif font for the dates. It turned out to be a nice combination.

I also opted to colour block the quarters of the year. In my Facebook group I asked people to tell me how many colours they wanted and how they’d like to see them. A number of people suggested one colour per quarter or season so I thought I’d give it try. They are:

  • Sapphire for Quarter 1 (January – March)
  • Peridot for Quarter 2 (April – June)
  • Amethyst for Quarter 3 (July – September)
  • Garnet for Quarter 4 (October – December)

A Few Things to Note

Before we jump to the 2021 dated calendar printables there are a couple of things worth mentioning. I used a new program to design the calendar this year and there has been a change to the half-size calendars.

If half-size is your planning jam please be sure to read the printing instructions carefully. For all of my other half-size printables I always design them two printables to a page. This new program creates them as individual pages which changes how they need to be printed.

It’s also worth noting that each calendar comes with a cover page and a spare page at the end to make printing easier.

And now – on to the calendars!

Two Pages Per Month 2021 Calendars

A few things to note about the changes to this layout. The notes section, which has been on the left hand side for the last few year is now back on the right. As well, instead of a lined notes section I opted to test out a dot grid.

Remember to read the printing instructions carefully for the half-size calendars.

This Sunday start, two pages per month, 2021 dated calendar printable is a great planner addition. It features a monochromatic colour scheme that changes each quarter and lots of room for notes and reminders.

I know that there are a lot of people who enjoy the uncluttered look and that there are people who enjoy decorating their planner pages to suit their own style and needs. My hope is that the simple design will work well for everyone.

Single Page per Month Calendars

There isn’t too much to note about these printables. Again, aside from changing the fonts and colours, switching the lined notes section for dot grid, they are the same as they always are.

Again, if half-size is your size, please read the printing instructions carefully.

Each month still has at least one notes section. Just like with the two pages per month calendars, I replaced the empty date boxes with a dot grid to give you a place for jotting down notes or reminders.

In the mean time, I’d love to hear what you think? Is the simpler design something you like?

  1. I love this look! I miss having more of variety for individual feel but I can make this work. I am a homeschool mom so not only do I mom but I teach as well. So having different colors for different things helps a ton. Each kid can have their own color and so on. I actually use both the daily and weekly pages and multiples of those same pages 🙃. I keep track of attendance and hours spent and activities and assignments so they all need their own space. Organization is key for me and I really appreciate you doing these planner pages for all of us. You are a hero a life saver and we love you! Thank you!

I like the new look. It’s simple and quite pretty. 🙂 I hope you make a week on 2 pages with the same layout as the Tropical Paridise Collection. I like the habit tracker at the bottom and I use the week boxes down at the bottom for my meal planning. And it’s nice to have all the lined space on the sides for all the random notes I make throughout the week. I’d love to see that layout with this color scheme. 🙂
Thank you again for all you do! It saves me so much time in my planning!
