Blast From the Past – June’s Reader Faves

June is a wonderful balance of a month. The year is almost half way through, spring is ending and summer is beginning. It’s a great month to tie up loose ends and finish up projects. But it’s also a wonderful month to start planning new projects and goals. And the reader faves from Junes gone by seem to reflect that.

But don’t take my word for it, scroll on down and see for yourself. The top 5 reader faves of Junes gone by are just below.

This image is a tall rectangle. The top two thirds are divided into a three skinny rectangle collage. The left photo partially shows a page of to-do lists lying on a wooden surface. The middle photo partially shows a habit builder/tracker page lying on a wooden surface. The right photo partially shows a priorities setting work sheet lying on a wooden surface. Under the photos, is a banner that looks like it's made from torn paper. On it it says "Blast from the Past - June's Reader Faves" and under it are three partial rectangles that line up with the images above. The left is a medium yellow, the middle is a light aqua, and the last is a peachy coral.

What is Blast From the Past

Good question!

The Blast From the Past series is that features a collection of posts and pages that have hit my monthly top 20-50 posts in previous years. I always find it interesting to see which content stands the test of time and which comes and goes. The five pieces of content I’m sharing each month will be a mix of both.

Now enough rambling from me, let’s take a look at these posts.

June’s Reader Faves

I love that each month shares something new and fun. It’s neat to see the rhythms that emerge. This months collection of reader faves seems to lean towards adjusting and making tweaks to existing systems.

The half point of the year is a great time to update home management binders or other home or family reference systems. Change up your planning system or make some changes to how you’re managing your time. The start of summer is also a fabulous time to start planning any projects you need or want to take on during the warmer months.

Or at least, that what the favourite posts and page I’m sharing today seem to say.

Keep on Track with the New Project Planning Printable Set

Originally published in July of 2017, this project planning printable set has all the basics you might need to get started planning your next project. Whether you’re starting in June or another month, this post is one that pops up in the top 20 off and on all year long for the last seven years.

One of my favourite pages in this set is the Project Index. This page allows you to track multiple projects, so in theory you could create a planner just for your projects if you wanted too. Or a section in your current planner. Then print the planning pages you need and away you go.

If you’ve got an upcoming projects, big or small, check out this post by clicking on the image or link below.

Undated Black and White Calendars Featuring Two Pages Per Month

I think undated calendars are fantastic, and many of you feel the same way if the popularity of this post is any indication. I first shared these calendars in April of 2017 and I love seeing them pop up in the top 20 year after year.

Undated calendars make such useful planning tools. They’re wonderful for creating monthly meal plans that you can cycle through over and over. Or work out plans, cleaning plans, and so very much more.

The black and white colour palette makes these ones super ink and/or toner friendly too! As always, check out the post by clicking the image or the link below.

The image starts with a close up photo of the top centre of a teal and white leather like planner laying on a wooden desk. The planner pages show a two page spread, undated monthly calendar in black and white. Overlapping the photo and the sand background of the last third of the image, is a tan box with white text that says "Black and White." In the sand coloured area at the bottom of the image is dark green text that says "Black & White Undated Calendars."

Setting Up My New Planner – A Peek Into My Process

Mind boggling! That’s how seeing this post in my reader favourites feels. First because I vividly remember ordering this planner and being so excited to start using it. It also reminds me that once upon a time, I used to use stickers in my planners. I kind of miss that.

This was another April post, from 2016 this time. I had been using the Disc Agenda planner for a few months and was itching to make some changes to make it work better for me.

I still have and use those stackable list printables. They’re a great way to add some extra planning room to your planner without using up space on your weekly or daily spread.

If you want to take a stroll down memory lane and check out how I used to set up my planners, just follow the link!

Fun Fact – I still have both the planners shown in the picture!

This image is a pale tan rectangle in portrait orientation. at the very top, in small, dark lettering it says "Planners and Planning". Under that is a picture of the top of a desk. On the desk from left to right, top to bottom are: a cut glass vase with pink and white flowers, a white polka dot pencil with pink ends, some small magnetic page markers, a floral patterned cloth traveler's notebook, and a disband planner lying open. The pages on the planner are a horizontal week on two pages, with a stack of lists bound between the pages. Time Management Page

Rounding out June’s favourites is the Time Management page. I originally create this page waaaaaay back in 2013, before I knew much about how to organize a website. Originally, this page was going to be just for time management printables. But over the years it’s slowly evolved.

Currently you can find not just links to printables, but some tips and ideas for how to make managing your time easier. And how to create a system that works with you so you can have more time for the things that matter most.

This page is still evolving and growing. I hope you’ll stop by and visit it from time to time to see what’s new. For now, just tap the image or link below to check it out.
