Keep Home Maintenance Simple with These Home Maintenance Printables

Have you ever noticed that homes come with an awful lot of things that need to be managed and maintained? There are things that need to be done inside the house, things to do outside the house. And if you have a yard, there’s even more to do. Sometimes it can feel overwhelming.

While the home maintenance printables that I’m sharing today can’t do the work for you, they can help reduce the overwhelm by giving you a place to set it and forget it. The checklists and logs in the Home Maintenance section of the Home and Life Companion were designed to help make life (and home maintenance) a little easier for you.

Welcome to the Home and Life Companion Series

The Home and Life Companion series, is a year-long series that aims to provide helpful printables for organizing various aspects of our lives. Each month, a different section will be featured, this month we’re focusing on the Home Maintenance section.

The printables are inspired by your requests first, followed by updated versions of previously shared printables, and a few new ones added to the mix.

The Home Maintenance Printables

Maintaining our homes doesn’t have to be overwhelming. By taking the time to plan ahead and spread out the tasks throughout the year we can make the maintenance part of things a breeze. That’s what the printables in this section were designed to help with.

We’re kicking off this section with two printables that came in as requests. One to help keep track of appliances and their maintenance and repairs. The other to help keep track furnace filter replacements and purchases.

We’re going to end it with updated versions of the Indoor and Outdoor Home Maintenance checklists. If you’re ready, keep on scrolling to check them all out.

Appliance Info and Maintenance Log

The person who requested this printable was looking for a way to store all the pertinent information for each appliance as well as track maintenance or repairs made to the appliance.

The top section is for all the information. It starts with a place to note what appliance it is and where in the home it’s located. (Or if you have a vacation home, rvs, or rental of some kind you could use this section to note that as well.)

Under this is room to note when it was purchased, how much was paid for it, where it was purchased, and what the return policy is. This is followed by a place to note the warranty and expiration date as well as the model/serial numbers and, finally, a place for notes.

The next section is where you can log any maintenance or repairs that were done. There’s room for the date, the action that was taken, and to mark whether it was a maintenance task or repair.

Both sizes are two page files, with the second page being just a maintenance and repair tracker.

Furnace Filter Log

This printable furnace filter log was requested from a few different people. They wanted a way to note the size and kind of filter/filters their furnace used and how many of each their furnace used. That is exactly what the top section is for.

Then they wanted a way to track when they were replaced. A couple people also wanted to be able to note when they were replaced and also have a place to log if they replaced a filter, needed to buy more filters, or purchased a filter. So the table section has space for recording all of that as well.

Just like the Appliance Info and Maintenance Log above, these ones are two pages each as well, with one page being dedicated to just logging the replacements. That way you have plenty of room to track the information.

Indoor Home Maintenance Checklist

The Indoor Home Maintenance Checklist has actually been around here on the blog for a LOT of years. In fact I shared the first version of it, just a couple of months after I started this blog.

With the exception of fonts and colours, not too much has changed. Each month has a short checklist or maintenance tasks to be done that month. I added two to three to each month for you to make it easy. I’ve also included a blank version with both sizes so you can fill out your own if that works best for you.

Outdoor Home Maintenance Checklist

Lastly, we’re going to finish this section off with the Outdoor Home Maintenance Checklist. While it hasn’t been around quite as long as the indoor version, it’s been over 10 years since the first version was shared here on the blog.

Again, not much has really changed with this. There are two checklists full of maintenance tasks to perform on the exterior of your home as well as around your yard. The lists are divided into Spring and Autumn since those tend to be the seasons where we need to spend time on outdoor maintenance tasks.

There’s space at the bottom of each list for you to add your own tasks. Or you can use the blank version I included to make your own from scratch. Whichever is easiest and will work best for you.
