Extra Planning Pages as You Requested!

January is a month of new beginnings, plans, and goals. It’s the month where planners are set up and refined. What better way to kick off a new year than with a Reader Request full of some planner goodies? The printables requested for this post are all tools that someone needed to help make their planner or a task they need to do work more easily for them.

Whether it’s note pages, communication trackers, or goal planning sheets – there’s sure to be a tool here that will be helpful for you. And don’t forget to send in a request of your own if there’s something you’d like to see offered here on the blog.

This is the feature image for the post "Extra Planning Pages as You Requested!" When it shows up outside the post it will link back to the post.

What is Reader Requested?

Reader Requested is exactly what it sounds like. A series of posts where I take your requests, turn them into printables, and share them here for everyone to enjoy.

The Reader Requested feature post will include 3-5 printables. Some of them may be existing printables with a few changes made to them, others will be brand new.

How to Submit Your Requests

You can submit a request anywhere you follow me. Leave a comment here on the blog. Send me an email. Reach out on social media. Join the Scatter-Brain’s Guide Facebook group where you can share your requests.

Or you can fill out the Printable Request form by clicking the button below.

The more details you include in your request the better able I’ll be to create what you’re in need of.

Just two quick things before we get to the printable.

  1. The only requests I do not accept are those asking me to copy another planner or printable.
  2. While I would love to make all the requests that come in, I can’t guarantee that I will get to all of them.

Now that we’ve covered that, let’s get to this month’s requests! Remember to get a copy of the printables, just click or tap the images of the ones you want.

Communication Trackers

Our first requests come from Ashley. She’s a member of the Scatter-Brain’s Guide Facebook group. Ashley asked if it was possible to create printables that would allow her to keep track of email and phone messages.

For emails, she needs a tool that will allow her to track emails she’s sent that she’s waiting for a reply to and a way to check off when the reply has been received.

The email tracker I created has space for logging the date, time, and checking off the response on the left. Then room for details like name, email address, subject, and notes on the right. There are four spaces per page for emails.

For phone messages, she needs a way to log phone messages and check off when they’ve been returned.

Just like the email tracker I split each section into two. The left has date, name, number, and a checkbox for when the message has been returned. The right has space to write down the message as well as any notes if needed. And like the email versions, each page has room for four entries.

You can find them below. Just click the picture of the one/ones you want and it will take you to the PDF.

Goal Planners

This request came from Jenn, through the printable request form. She liked the other goal planners I have in the Tropical Paradise Collection, but to make them work better for her she had a couple of suggestions.

First she really wanted the space for defining the goal and setting a due date right at the top. That was easy to arrange. She asked if I could put the tasks on the right side and every else down the left. Her brain likes the division vertically instead of horizontally. Her final request was to get rid of the decorative borders on the top and bottom and change the check boxes to hexagons.

As you will see below, I did just that. I think it turned out great. We tried to keep the same layout in the half letter version, but it made for a very squished planner page. Instead, we opted to make it a two page spread. The tasks are on the right page and everything else is on the left. Alternatively, you could use it with the goal and boxes are on the front and the tasks are on the back.

Brain Storming

This next request came from someone who didn’t want to be named. She was in need of pages she could use to help her brainstorm different things and that she could use with her kiddos for different homeschool activities.

She specifically asked for a mind map template and Venn diagram template. I was happy to make them for her. These are both such great tools that can be used in some many different ways.

Mind Map

Mind maps are great way to expand ideas and plan projects. They’re for thinking of possibilities, related items, things that you need to keep in mind, etc… For example – you want to make some changes around your home. You might use a mind map to identify different projects you want to take on. Such as organizing, painting, minor renovations, and major renovations. You can then extend out from each one with more details.

Off of organizing you might have something like closets, games cupboard, craft room, garage. And then from those you might include specifics about what you want to organize in each category.

Venn Diagram

Venn diagrams are wonderful for comparing and contrasting. If you’re not familiar with a Venn diagram, they’re usually depicted as two or three overlapping circles. (the ones I made are just two) Each circle represents one thing and you write down characteristics or facts about the thing in its circle. Where the circles over lap is where you note things they both have in common.

For example, if you’re trying to decide between a daily planner or a weekly one. In the daily circle you might have points like:

  • room for schedule and task list
  • space for journalling
  • room for notes
  • plans aren’t crowded

In the weekly circle you might have:

  • harder to over schedule
  • can see my whole week at once
  • takes up less space in my planner

And where the circles overlap you might have:

  • room to plan each day
  • keeps me on track
  • allows me to plan ahead

You can do this for many things. Other ideas include comparing authors, books to movies, restaurants, events, vacation destinations, etc… Venn diagrams can be a useful tool when it comes to decision making.

Notes Paper

Last up are some extra notes pages. The request for these came from many, many, many people. I totally understand. It’s nice to have the option outside of lined paper. So below you will find both dot grid and grid papers.

Both are quarter inch – meaning there is a quarter in space between dots and that the squares on the grid paper are a quarter of an inch. It’s worth noting here that margins in printers might affect that size a little bit.
