You Tell Me! What Home Management Printables Do You Need?
There is an item that pops up onto my to-do list over and over again. I keep meaning to get to it, but somehow something else seems to crop up and next thing I know it’s a brand new year and I still have that item on my to-do list. What is this item? Updating my home management binder that has been sitting on a shelf collecting dust for almost a year now. When the systems stop working for you, it’s time to change the system. The problem is, I’m not quite sure what a new system will look like yet. Instead of setting it aside for yet another who knows how long, I’ve decided to begin by updating the home management printables and while I’m at it, I’ll introduce you to the new Reader Request!
Whether you’re a mom with a passel of kids, an empty nester, or just starting out, chances are you either have or could use a home management system. Some like to create home management binders/notebooks, others prefer to use their planners, and still other like to have a variety of tools at their disposal for managing their home and family life. It’s all a matter of figuring out what you need and what tools will help you fit that need the best.
Home Managment Printables
There are already a number of printables on the Home Mangement printable page here, but most of them were created years ago and they are badly in need of some updating. Not only could they use a little bit of a face-lift but the layouts could use a little adjusting and almost all of them need to be converted into half-size versions. The plan was to start updating and adding new ones this month, and that’s still the plan but I realized that this was the perfect opportunity to introduce the new way I want to handle reader requests this year.
I believe printables can be a very valuable tool when we’re organizing our time, homes, and other areas of our lives. It’s one of the reasons I enjoy making and sharing them so much. Reader Request is one of my favourite posts to write each month, I love being able to provide you with printables that will be useful for you, however, it’s growing to be a little too overwhelming trying to keep all the requests straight and figure out which ones fit best with the other things that are being shared that month. In an effort to try to organize the request a little more I’ve decided to try something different this year.
Every few months I will choose a theme for the kind of printables I’m taking requests for. I’ll share a form like the one below and you are all invited to give me your feedback and tell me what you would like to see. Even if you have no special request, but want to make sure to mention something so I don’t forget – advice is always welcome.
I’m going to be kicking the year off with the home management printables. I’d love to know what sorts of printables you would find helpful when it comes to organizing and keeping track of all you need for your home and family. Let me know in the form below so that your response is recorded. I still plan to share other printables as well as the home management ones. I’m going to kick things off next Friday with some new ones I haven’t yet shared, and this theme for the printables will run straight through March.
I can’t wait to get started on the printables.
The form is down below here, be sure to take a moment to fill out the three questions. I tried to keep it as short as possible.
In other news, I hopped on Periscope earlier this week for the first time ever! It was terrifying but strangely fun. If you missed it you can catch the replay over on my Katch.Me profile. I plan to do one again either next Thursday or the week after. This one is all about my word of the year and how I choose one. I also offered a few suggestions for things you can use in place of a word of they year if it’s not your cup of tea. My next one will either be a tour of my office, or a walk through of my new planning system. I haven’t decided yet. If you have any suggestions I’d love to hear them. Drop me a line in the comments below.
Are you making any changes or setting any goals for the new year? If you’re up for it, share them in the comments I’d love to hear about them.
